Endre Farkas
Episode 5
Endre Farkas is a sculptor and visual artist, a graduate of the Faculty of Arts and Design, class of 2005-2007. He works in Vienna and Timișoara, and for his work, he won the sculpture award at the International Miniature Arts Biennial and at the Visual Arts Salon in Timișoara in 2022 and 2018. His works have been featured in group and solo exhibitions in both Romania and Hungary. Two works are currently on display in public spaces: since 2008, the portrait of Prof. Dr. Ioan Văcărescu, which can be found at the Polytechnic University of Timișoara, and, since August 2025, the work Trinity, exhibited in the public park in Dumbrăvița.
On the occasion of his solo exhibition, Bestiarium, in November 2025 at the Galeria cu Platani, curated by Gabriela Robeci, he tells us in this episode of the FAD-UVT Alumni Podcast about his intentions and artistic journey and about the transition from three-dimensional sculpture to assemblage and plexi-collage.
